This is the documentation of my Summer Internship Project at Farmako.

Introduction

Farmako is a health-tech startup that is working towards digitizing health records in India. Founded by a trio of Aman Bhandula, Kaishu Sahu, and Nikhil Kumar from IIT Roorkee, and is a YC summer 2020 alum.

I started my journey in farmako in the winters of 2019, where Ayush Rajput and I both worked over the MVP of a Mobile-based EMR application.

The first work

Ayush and I were Product Design Interns, employed for 1 month to design the MVP of the DocsApp quickly. We got a head start by getting a user story and flow from the team.

We quickly finished the designs by distributing the work and executing it simultaneously.

YC Celebration

Around March 2020, Farmako was selected for the summer 2020 YC batch. The demo of the MVP and the prototype was acclaimed during the selection. Soon Aman contacted us again since they received the feedback and wanted to work with us again. This time covid was at its peak, and the country was in lockdown.

Summer Internship

The reason behind continuing at farmako was due to covid, many companies froze their hiring processes for Interns, and since we were in a Five-year course, it wasn't our pre-final year. So we had the bandwidth to explore such an experience. We worked only for a month during December, so we decided upon the summer internship to better experience working in an early-stage startup.

This time the team also had better mentors and a concrete vision to work around. Let's discuss the work.
